Position Summary

Job Purpose:

The shift operator will be responsible for the cold block operations.

Major Roles And Responsibilities (Job Details)

Key Responsibility Area (KRA):

  • Fermentation, maturation, yeast crop, dry hopping, hops straining, filtration and handoff to the next shift operator. Managing and operation ofcold block.
  • Accurately record all aspects of the CB-activities to track production operations and inventory
  • All aspect of cold block work including but not limited to: cleaning and sanitization of UT’s, BBT’s, DAW, water tanks, filter, transfer lineswith Clean-in-Place (CIP)
  • Follow all cleanup procedures to achieve high hygienic conditions. Handle the fermentation batches precisely according to the written recipe and SOP Constant communication with our head brewer/quality manager to ensure our beer meets internal quality standards
  • Involves recording, troubleshooting, temperature, and flow monitoring, communication, supplying lines with material or product, cleaning, sanitation, and foaming. Sanitation involves the complete cleaning of all the equipment within the facility.
  • Raw materials monitoring, receiving, and handling forthe Cold Block.
  • Perform quality checks, testing, and complete paperwork as required.
  • Perform work and cleaning in confined space areas
  • Must be able to make equipment and product changeovers using tools as needed.
  • Assist other operators and departments in training, repair work, and equipment operation as needed.
  • Assist with supporting overtime as needed to cover varying production needs.
  • Responsible for the daily completion of tasks integral to the operation and overall performance of the Brewery.
  • Collaborate with the production team, monitoring brewing and processing of batches to control quality, consistency, and efficiency
  • Follow written SOPs; accountable for SOP execution, maintain the highest safety standard.
  • Communicate daily with the Production Manager andthe  Head Brewer on scheduled tasks, issues encountered, and priorities
